Biography

Tingod is a brand new heavy metal band from Sweden that´s currently working on their debut album. Conny Welén, previous bass in Hexenhaus and Mezzrow, started the band after decades of writing and producing other metal and hardrock bands like Section A (DNK), Voodoo Circle (DEU), Sorcerer (SWE), Below (SWE) and Speaking To Stones (USA). Conny has always been a great fan of Anders Engbergs majestic vocals since his days in the progressive metal band Lion´s Share and therefore Anders was a natural choice for Tingod. The two of them have also been good friends for almost 30 years and written hundreds of songs together but never have had the chance to play together - until now. Fredrik Folkare, a long time member of Unleashed and Firespawn, is a very talented guitarist that has his roots in the old school of classic heavy metal and it really shines through in the metal sound of Tingod. Fredrik Svensson (yes, there are two of them, but hey, a lot of good swedish guitarists name are Fredrik) is a new friend of Conny and they met, as a lot of people do nowadays, on the internet. Fredrik has a very appreciated guitar podcast and youtubechannel for guitar nerds which caught Connys eye, or should we say ear. At last, but not least, is Johan Koleberg on drums, curently from Hammerfall and before that the great Therion. Johan also used to play in Lion´s Share and has been a friend of Anders every since.

But now the five of them have started a new chapter in the book of hardock and heavy metal - Tingod. Currently they are in the studio writing songs for their debut album to be released next year.
